We would like to thank Prime Minister David Cameron and Minister for Policing, Criminal Justice & Victims the Rt Hon Damian Green MP for their intervention and Dan Jarvis MP Shadow Minister for Justice for his support and believe in Eve's Law and Eve's Marker.
A Voluntary Code Of Practise is welcome BUT victims deserve to be #SAFE - they deserve the FULL weight of primary legislation - the law!

The brief was served and discussed with the Ministry Of Justice on the 12.12.13. On the 18th December 2013 an Early Day Motion was initiated. A further meeting is to be planned with the Ministry Of Justice in the new year and Shadow Minister Dan Jarvis MP announced on 20.12.13 that he has written to the Rt Hon Damian Green MP to "propose working constructively together to implement" Eve's Law and Eve's Marker.

I am also extremely proud to announce that John & Penny Clough, Jane's parents are Ambassador's for the Eve's Law/Eve's Marker Campaign. Jane was murdered in 2010 by Jonathan Vass after he was released on bail after having been charged with rape and assault offences. Jane was a nurse at the Victoria Hospital in Blackpool and was stabbed 71 times in the hospital car park by Vass in July 2010 while he was on bail accused of rape. Vass was subsequently jailed for a minimum of 30 years in October 2010. Penny and John initiated "Justice For Jane Campaign" which prompted an amendment to the law meaning that prosecutors can now appeal against bail rulings. SUPPORTING STATEMENTS
TRIGGER WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:
Eve's Law and Eve's Marker if implemented will protect many victims, domestic violence/abuse, rape, child abuse, stalking etc. An Eve's Marker is for life thus saving money, you can read more about it's creation and the research conducted regarding the anti molestation process here.
Eve's Law and Eve's Marker will strengthen two pieces of legislation that already exist Sarah's Law and Clare's Law. Both Sarah's and Clare's Law are amazing pieces of legislation but due to under reporting these laws should never be taken as gospel. Eve's Law and Eve's Markers will hopefully encourage many more victims to come forward because at last they can feel safer and I encourage everyone entering a new relationship, especially where children are involved to exercise their rights under both laws.
