Whilst collating all the survivors and victims stories for the Fifty Shades Of Abuse book I pondered for a moment, my mind drifting away to my dream, could I possibly do more?
Writing helped me so much as I took the most important journey of my life, the journey to becoming a survivor I found that my words gave me strength and hope, my passion to maybe one day realise my dream could maybe be fulfilled and now here I am a mum, a published author, a fierce campaigner for all abuse but most of all a survivor of domestic violence/abuse. I have a story to tell, Amy's story and along with that another book of mine which the details of which will shortly be released but I hope that this shines a light of one of the most horrific of all abuses (if you can have a most horrific) child abuse.
So back to my daydream. How could I raise even more awareness? How could I reach out to more victims and help them on their pathway to becoming a survivor?
#OneVoice The Child.
#OneVoice The Child will be a collection of true stories, like Fifty Shades Of Abuse only this time I am looking for your stories of child abuse. Now I know that this is a very tender subject but I'm thinking of the awareness it will raise for child abuse, the money that the sales will raise. Again, all revenue is to go to charity but this time the criteria will be that the charity/organisation has to work with/for victims/survivors of child abuse.
#OneVoice The Child is still a dream for me. I have one chapter that a survivor sent to me but in order for the dream to be a reality I need more.
Please help me to raise awareness. Tweet, email, text, facebook please share this blog.
Survivors not victims!
